Have you been looking for a way to save money or start creating a toxin-free home? Look no further, I have found the perfect solution just for you!
Truly Nontoxic Ingredients When You DIY
When you make products at home, you can rest assured that you are truly creating a nontoxic product because you know exactly what you are using to make it!
After trying multiple DIY powder and liquid detergent recipes, I have finally found two of my favorites. Personally, I prefer the liquid over the powder but have used and made both. These recipes are very simple to make and I have provided links to the ingredients for your convivence.
DIY Powdered Laundry Detergent (Yields 8 1/2 cups or 2 liters)

Ingredients:
1/3 cup Baking Soda
1 cup Super Washing Soda
1 cup Borax
1/2 cup Pure Soap Flakes
Optional: 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oils
Instructions:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl (except essential oils) and store in a large, dry container. If you use cold or hot water in the washing machine, it is best to first dissolve the powder in a cup of hot water.
Use 1-2 tbsp per load for HE washers. For top load washers it is best to use 1/4-1/2 cup per load. If you choose to use essential oils, you may drop 2-3 drops directly into the powder you are pouring over the clothes.
